145. A Stroke Of Luck, Sam And Daisy D’Amato
‘A Stroke of Luck’ began after I had a stroke — when my daughter Daisy (10) suggested we respond with colour, creativity and fun. Painting the sea became a way to find calm amidst the chaos, and soon our family project turned into joy, laughter, and art that tells our story.
This January, we’re opening our home at Botany Bay as a special stop on the Margate Art Trail — a perfect place to start or finish your adventure with sea views and reflection. Just beyond the usual route, our beachside home invites you to explore painted surfboards, canvases, and paint-spattered stories while breathing in the coast.
Expect paint in unlikely places, stories told through colour, and a small detour with a big view. Art made to make you smile, reflect, and feel the magic of living lucky.
